I've been feeling like this since after new year. I'm okay going for a walk to the shops in the snow, as I love it, but as for anything else I can't be bothered.

Anyone else feeling like it?

Hi Smudge.

Yes I feel the same. And I can't go out for a walk because of my damn hips/legs/back. Just keep thinking of Spring being round the corner. I bought myself a small pot of indoor daffodils yesterday just to cheer myself up.

However, I am feeling a bit happier today and my son, who was made redundant at the end of November has just told me he has a new and better job starting at the end of this week.

Take care and buy a pot of daffodils! ;o)

I'm sure a lot of people feel like that in January, I myself am less inclined to go out when it's damp and grey, I find it depressing.

As Lottie says, think of Spring and nice sunshine.

Hi Lottie, sorry that you are suffering like that. Mr. yogasun recently returned from a birding trip to Wells-next-the Sea, just before the weather closed in! Poor birds have been struggling....sorry smudge to hijack post :0)
Hi yoga. Nice to see you. Perhaps we should turn this into a cheer up thread. I am sure Smudge wouldn't mind.
I only back from Australia a week ago after being there for the best part of a month and I only went back to work yesterday... I think it's fair to say I'm having issues concentrating and getting back in to the swing of things. Bloody miserable here.
Hiya smudge x
has something happened to make you feel like that? Are you depressed?
How was the heat China. My Aunt in Sydney is suffering at the moment. She is elderly and daren't go out - just sitting in front of a fan all day.

Hope you had a really great time. Where did you go?

Hope this is OK Smudge? Chatting I mean, you seem to have disappeared!! ;o)

Hi Lottie & yogasun - you're right, I'm sure I'm not on my own feeling lethargic at this time of year! T'was quite a busy Christmas time for us, so I s'pose I should be relishing the quieter moments!

I have been out every day to the local shops, just to stretch my legs & it does make me feel better afterwards, albeit slippery & freezing!

Funny you should mention buying an indoor daff plant Lottie - I bought a bunch of yellow Alstroemeria in Sainsbury's only yesterday! They always look so cheery when they've opened up, although I will buy a daff plant too - thanks for suggesting that.

I'm sorry to hear you've not been feeling too good with your hips/legs/back again. It must be such a nuisance for you, but hope it eases soon.

I'm very glad to hear your son has found a new job & wish him all he very best for the future. ;o}

No worries yogasun - chat away..... ;o}
The temperature after christmas and until I came back dropped to be tween 19 and 25 degrees so I wasn't best impressed with that but up until then it had been quite hot. It was fine, I like the heat but then I was just holidaying, my sister has to go to work in it and I guess that's not much fun. I was in Sydney too :c)
Australia is the place too be, as long as you don't mind not sleeping

Didn't notice all the other thread since yoga's - so 'Hi' to everyone else. -xx-

Pease feel free to change it into a cheer up thread Lottie - it's a good idea, as I'm sure we all need it! ;o}

Hi Sachs & thank you for asking. I have been on antidepressants since October as I was 'very' depressed (new neighbours were getting me down). It did take the edge off things & I was starting to feel better, but just feel a little deflated at the moment - not depressed, but as I say, very lethargic. -xx-

Happy new year to you all again....
Hi every one. I felt a bit down this morning, and thought, "here goes another day"
I really do think its the dull, overcast, miserable snowy weather that does it.
Thank god we've all got each other to cheer ourselves up.
thank you all you abers! x
Actually China, my Aunt is about an hour away by train from Sydney on the Central Coast near Gosford. I spent a month out there 10 years ago. Had a really good time and loved Sydney. I went in August and was in light weight clothing whilst the Australians were wrapped up in their woollies thinking I must be mad. But I am no lover of heat.

Had a good time, but wouldn't want to live out there. I would like to go back and visit my Aunt who is now in her 80's, but don't think my back would cope with the journey. Perhaps one day!

Welcome back China & hope you will soon adjust.

I remember us feeling like that when came home form Perth & Sydney, in January 1980 & going back to work after such a wonderful 5 week holiday!!
The weather here doesn't help at all does it? Waking up to freezing temperatures, grey skies and slushy snow day after day. Not much incentive for doing anything at all.

My cousin lives in Perth Smudge. She lives between Perth and Cheddar in Somerset - has a house in both!! Never been there though.

Back in a mo' - just watching your video Lottie...
Just think, that film was made nearly 80 years ago!! Even before my time!!!
Sorry to hear that Smudge,
tiredness is one of the many symptoms of depression & feeling 'flat'
Flowers are lovely to look at & if it makes you feel a little more uplifted then that's good!
Now it is bloody well snowing again!!! Is 'bloody' allowed? ;o)
I hope you soon perk up again smudge! the sun may be shining tomorrow.
Talking of perth -- thats one place I'd love to be at the moment, I loved it out there
when I visited my sister who lives in Leederville perth.
Lets close our eyes and imagine we're there x
