I had a septoplasty operation 2 years ago to try and correct a deviated septum, the operation was successful but I suffered strange heart arrythmia after the operation and had a severe reaction to the general anaesthetic (acute asthma attack). My septum has now developed a hole through it and is constantly sore and scabbed,I also have a very annoying whistling sound if I breathe through my nose (0_0)

Is it worth me having the septoplasty revised or should I just leave well alone? My GP says it is up to me to decide.

If you're still not sure after the GP's advice, maybe you should be referred back to the consultant to put your mind at rest daffy.
daffy....nasal septoplasty are not uncommon , whistling and crusting are common symptoms.

Nasal perforations are difficult to repair....very difficult.... and often make the situation worse.

My advice........do not agree to further nasal operations.
daffy...should have said...."nasal perforations following Septoplasty are not uncommon"
