RIP- BOB THE FERRET

Hi I just wanted to let everyone know that we had Bob put to sleep this morning, He went down with an infection on friday and he was in and out of the vets, The little man had had enough and we have had a traumatic six weeks and it was the kindest thing that we could have done for him, This morning he could hardly lift his head and i did not want him to suffer any longer than necessary, Kate and i are devestated but we had to do it for him not us, We have buried him in the garden so he will always be with us...

I havent posted on your bob threads before josaphine but have read with interest. Im so sorry about the little guy but I feel you are all probably the better for having known him - he sure has left some memories !

He could'nt have had a better life from anyone else who cared for him as yourself and Kate, and may he rest in peace.

Joesphine and family , so very sorry to read about Bob , your posts made me feel that I knew him , he was so loved by you all .Decisions like the one you have just made are heartbreaking and you must all be devasted. A lovely poem which I have seen many times on here. Written for a dog, but equally true for our lovely little Bob.

I am sorry to hear about Bob - I hope that you, Kate (your daughter?) and Emma (the widow?) are okay.

I survived my mother and father's deaths but completely went to pieces when my dog died. ??

I will be thinking of all of you.

Many sympathies to Josaphine and family - I know what it is like to lose a loved pet - and so many thanks for LoftyLottie's poem which struck a real chord with me, I will keep this one with me. Best wishes to you all.

Aah, I am so sorry, it is the kindest thing we can do for our pets, but there is never a good time to say goodbye. Thinking of you, Bob will always be with you.

It has been such a bad day, Kate looks like death warmed up through the crying and i am unconsolable, I have got the guilt syndrome now but hopefully tomorrow will be a little better, thanks all the same

Awww, sorry to hear that Jo- as you know a few of us were following his story and liked to hear of his cheeky antics, im willing to bet he's giving them hell in ferret heaven.

So very sorry to read of Bob's demise, jo. Understandably you will feel devastated. I hope it is of some small comfort to you to know that so many ABers have been touched by Bob. He was a very special little ferret. RIP Bob. Gone but never forgotten. xxx
