age of meeting partner

How old were you when you met your current partner and how old are you now?
I'll go first- 15 and (nearly) 23 (partner was 16, now 23)

I was 15, he was 16. we married when we were 25 and 26.

we separated 10 years ago. I'm 44 (but I don't look it!).

do you mind me asking why you separated?

yes, but in brief.. I changed (ie; grew up and took some responsibility) and he didn't.

sorry, that sounded really bad, didn't mean that getting divorced was an easy thing to do!

I met him in '91 when I was 23 and he was 28. Married in '93.. he left 3 years ago, divorced this year, went out for lunch with him, the kids, his parents and Grandpa George yesterday to celebrate new year... Bonkers I know, but we get on better now, which is good for everyone really...

aww glad some relationships last! It does seem that people of the 'older' generation are more often with someone they met when they were young.

think it's nice when people get on after breaking up, seems a shame not to be friends just because of a break up

We met when I was 18 and he was 19, got married the following year that was in 1981, and been together ever since now we are 48 and 50 (but neither look it) lol

We met when I was 16 & my husband was 18. We got married in 1964 & are still together after all these years!

We started going out in 1988 when I was 19 and he was 29 and we married 5 years later and are still together now.

It's very sad when marriages don't work out poodi, but best to be apart than stay in an unhappy one - even if you have children!

We've had the 'normal' ups & downs over the years, as do most couples, but have worked as a team & had lots of fun along the way....!

Me 23 she 24 - married exactly one year later but spoke of getting married after 3 months - just seemed right.

Celebrated 33 years married last September
