Please help last month £188 was deducted from my wages 'in error' so i was told. I contacted my manager straight away and she assured me that she would sort it out so i got it back in the next months pay. She phoned me back and said not to worry its all sorted now and that i would definatly get it in novembers pay. But guess what no sign of it! I really dont know what to do now i feel like not going into work until i get the money i am a single mum and its hard enough to get by never mind taking money off me in error! Any advice would be fab
Thanks

Speak to someone in payroll or better still take in your wage slips and point out the error to them in person.
I would make my way to the wages department, plonk myself down and calmly insist on a cheque to be issued.
not going into work won't actually achieve anything positive. go in tomorrow, tell them you want the money you are owed and that it can not wait until the next payday.

Hi, the thing is i work nights in a secure hospital and im back tonight and the headoffice where the wages are sorted are down south (i live in east midlands) does anyone know my rights is what they have done illegal? Am i in my rights to insist on a cheque? I incurred bank charges last month am i in my rights to claim them back from my employer?
It's not illegal to make a mistake.
You can insist on being paid as soon as is practically possible. That means them issuing you a cheque tomorrow.
