I am buying an x box for my son ..do I buy it online for £30 pounds cheaper than argos.. so that if somethink goes wrong I can take it back ... what would you do
Buy it online from a reputable site such as Play.com or Amazon etc. you have the same rights to a refund or repair if it goes wrong through no fault of your own.
Online shopping is great! No queueing in hot, packed shops only to find the item you want is sold out,no worrying that you are going to be pick-pocketed or have your bag stolen,no having to lug heavy items back to the car (if you could even park near the shops),usually better prices and deals to be found online. etc.etc.
Personally speaking (and we've just done it) I'd buy in-store. The returns procedure for online purchases is usually a lot more complicated than Argos etc. We bought from HMV as part of a package with games and bought an extended 3 year warranty for peace of mind (our son usually goes through a PS2 every 12 months and 1 day).
If you need to return any item to Game they usually allow you to do so at a local store as well as online.
If the XbOX 360 has a 'red ring' fault,Microsoft will send a courier to your home to pick up the machine, they then fix it and return it to you at no cost or minimal cost to yourself.
