Artificial teeth, crowns, fillings or other orthodontics are not affected. Tooth whitening does not damage artificial teeth or orthodontics (e.g. fillings). However, the surrounding natural teeth may become lighter than the artificial teeth which could make them show up and you may wish to have them replaced by your dentist. This needs to be taken into consideration when deciding whether to whiten your teeth.
