I have had thyroid disease for many years and take I take 150mgms of thyroxine a day.

I recently had a blood test and the TSH (I think that is wot they call it ) came back high.

Do I reduce my dose of thyroxine or lower it? My doctor seems a bit confused about it.

Sorry should have read "reduce my dose of thyroxine or raise it"

Please excuse me as it is my first time on and I am so nervous.......any help would be appreciated.
Sqad...as you well know, anyone on prescribed drugs should not increase or decrease their dose without advice from a doctor. If one doctor gives bad advice then see another.
why not consult your massive head for an answer?
Question Author

Question Author
cazz...head of what?
why not rephase it to your doctor, without disagreeing with him of course...(it would have to be a male doctor)
Question Author
cazz...yes I know and they are lovely too, much better than those arrogant male Drs. Thank you ......can I call you cazz?
Question Author
cazzz....do you think that I should rephrase it or rephase it......I do value your opinion you know.
male doctors are okay, just avoid people pretending to be doctors ;D
Question Author
cazz....so very, very true.
feel free to correct my spelling, if it makes you feel better of course.
Mohne - the only way to tell what you need is to see your own - or another doctor. It's dangerous to make guesses and self -medicate with these type of things.
You won't be wasting anyone's time at all.

Ice Maiden...thank you.
Ice.Maiden..........this poster is sqad,he admitted as much on a thread in CB but for some reason he is now denying it and trying to wind everyone up.
Oh....well I only pop on during the daytime to test my computer speed - if the damned thing can be bothered to work at all - and naive as I might've been, was just trying to help - because someone else might have the same prob, and messing about with thyroxine could be really dangerous.

daffy....how dare you?....who is sqad that I keep mistaken for?
Mohne/sqad,you admitted that you are sqad on the previous thread in CB ! Why are you trying to deny it now? Both cazzz and I saw you admit it which is why we answered you in this way.
Ice.Maiden,I know you were just trying to be helpful and I was just giving you a heads up,not being critical.x
