hep b injections

i have been asked at work to remove a valve from a black water line, (human waste from toilets) is it a legal requirement for my employer to get me a hep b injection if i ask for it before i do the job??

I didn't ask my employer for permission to have the jab, just go and see the practice nurse at your local G.P surgery.
You require 3 jabs, then a blood test to test your level of immunity so it can take a few months, not a simple thing to just do unfortunately.
except hep b isn't necessarily free on the NHS and you may find you have to pay
you can use protective clothing and gloves you are only at risk if you come into direct contact with bodily fluid infected
your gp cannot charge you directly and it is not free on the nhs your employer must pay unless you have an occupational health and then they can give it to you. I know because I give them

we have just to go ahead and do the job we cant just fly on to land to get a jab so its double gloving im afraid
