They and you have moved on, so dont match your imaginations. Most I know have done same thru Friends reunited (via schools).

Sis divorced after 18y & wed school love.....5 kids disrupted & 2partners broken. The teen kids resentful at change & entering freefall of drugs & drink. Think hard before you force kids to accept new parental role.
Wise Words!!

There's a reason, people
from your past
Dont make it to your future.
Definitely agree. If you let each other go the first time - whether it was by simply losing touch, or having a fall-out - there's no point in a second stab at it. I DO know a person who married the their partner twice, but over all, searching for lost loves just seems to be when your life's in the doldrums and you hanker after what might've been.
It can work chirpy, but not in the way you would want.

You are happily married, but sex is cr@p

Your long lost love is happily married but his/her sex is cra@p

Keep your "happy marriages" but just meet up for sex.

Sorted.........until you both get fed up with sex with each other, then be satisfied with yopur sexless marriages.
Sqad!!! How can you justify an affair?!!!!
Good morning sqad x

Oooh - are we getting onto the subject of affairs? Can I join in?!
salla...morning

rinkins...didn't think that I had to justify them, they are a very common way of life.
Actually rinkins, I am sure you will disagree with me on this one, but in some instances an affair can almost be "justified". Not very often I admit, but can be.
I actually do appreciate where you are both coming from. And I understand that is the case. It's just my first reaction to affairs is just the horrible feeling that they exist. And I would hate to be the one cheated on (and I'm pretty sure I have been), it's a horrible feeling. That's all I meant. It's a shame to be in a relationship where one or both partners are unfaithful. (And yes I must confess I have not been an angel myself but I've never had a full blown affair).

And I am really great at contradicting myself LOL

Regarding virtually all the answers above: thank you as they're well-intentioned, I'm sure. But I only want my original question answered. I myself am not seeking an affair, and there are no current partners or children involved to get hurt. I just want to hear of other people's experiences, that's all.
rinkins....you will always an "angel" to me.

If you haven't had a "full blown" affair, how would you describe yours?

Did he only "half blow you up" or did you only "half blow him up?".....LOL

Explain please.
sorry chirpycheepy - we got a bit mis-railed there... as is common on here. I blame Sqad. (I always blame Sqad).
O1...chirpy....watch it. they ARE my experiences.
"half blown" .... LOL

How frustrating is that ? x
My advice: dont f ing bother! But then u shouldn't really listen to me.
Maybe you're a little shell shocked, jaded or downright disillusioned at the moment Angel ?!!

Long-lost loves eh? Very tempting indeed to seek them out and see if there's any chance of rekindling it. I have heard of instances where it has worked, but on the whole I would regard them with great caution.

If it didn't work out once, there was a reason. Although, having said that, people change, grow up...

Mmmmm,,,,, now where is that Nigel almost-rude-name I last saw in 1981 ? We had a chemistry there, to say the least. (I suspect though he was a closet gay, or is on drugs. Definitely one of the two. Best left methinks....)
Memories are better than realaties
enfable.......LOL...true.....but they have to be realities some time to generate memories...LOL
The film 'The Notebook' always comes to mind when I think of things like this.
