In my opinion u shouldnt diet too drastically...lose the weight at a rate that ur body will be able to keep up with.... and so u wont have a problem with excess skin....

personaly i think that you should go to the doctors and talk to him/her about it, they know more and can help you more i think. i dont mean to sound rude to the people here through. hope this helps  xx
you should speak to your doctor as only he can help you..but as you are so young you may find your skin has more elasticity than an older persons and the excess skin wont be so bad. also you are going to be a lot healthyier for loosing the weight so you will benefit healthwise.you could also take extra care of your skin while you are dieting .take saunas. have luxury bathing products that moisturise your skin, and massage creams besides them being of benefit you will feel better and get an extra buzz out of your efforts, best of luck with your diet give us an update when you nearly reach your goal..mullein

Bluedolphin is right-you have to lose weight SLOWLY. Like, 1lb per week at the most. If you suddenly lose weight, your body can't remember it's own blue-print, and so the skin doesn't adjust while the tissues do!! Urgh. So, do it slowly, and choose an eating plan for life, not just for diet. (Can I recommend Carol Vorderman's 28 day detox?). ALSO it's very important to exercise. For example, if you clench (pull in) your lower stomach and try and hold it for 10 seconds. Do this as many times a day as you can. It will strengthen the not-often used stomach muscles and that bit will become firmer. Also, join a gym and pay for an individual trainer. They will tell you what exercises will tighten up which bits the best.

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you so much for all of your opinions :) I've only just started on this diet and at them moment i'm feeling really happy with it, and I just seemed to panic a bit when I found that there might have been this big downside, so thank you again for making me feel alot better/ giving me things to do.

I'll make sure to post back here in a few months to say how it's gone/is going :)

don't forget the excercise, and check out which vits creams etc that help with elasticity.  I found excercise was the most important
