Mmmmm
BOO...no soapbox...I don't even know the girl and as for your opinion, I respect it, but do not accept it, so please stick to it.

I remember the days of back street abortionists, bleeding, infection and death following illegal abortions, girls sent to religious retreats, treate abominably and their babies snatched from their arms, taken away, never to be seen again.

I thought all that stigma and prejudice about unwanted pregnancies had been abolished, but reading the posters, I was astonished at the response.

Soapbox maybe BOO, but you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Advice for young pregnant girls who are scared......Keep away from AB, you will get very little sympathy.
B00, posters need to be given the benefit of doubt for all the reasons I said.

Bagging a post because for whatever reason you guess it is fake is like others who tell posters to Google for an answer. What makes you so sure the poster is a troll?

We come here to answer questions. Don't denigrate the main purpose of this site.

I have seen other sites like this die from core members pushing new posters away by demeaning their questions. Combined with excessively narrow minded moderatiors it is enevitably fatal.
I am most definitely not ashamed of myself sqad. You should be though for being an insulting, jumped up nobody!
I usually try to show respect on this site, but only to those who deserve and earn it.
The only sanctimonius person here is you.

I don't think any of this is helping shobha so lets just hope she ignores our arguing and gets the help she needs!!!
besoo.....are you male or female?
No sorry, im not ashamed. I very much doubt that shobha is indeed a young 'un.

As I've said before no teen would say in "in house treatment" or use the term "wish to discontinue".

They could of course be someone who doesn't have english as their first language, which would explain the very odd term usages. However this still doesn't detract from the fact that their words do come across as cold and callous- whether by design or not.

I actually think it was a pi$$ take question designed to annoy as many of us as possible, which they've clearly succeeded in doing.
The use of +ve and '09, and discontinue, suggests a far from unsophisticated poster.

I just wish her well. It's not a baby yet.

Boo...........I hope for the sake of humanity that you are right.
I don't think anyone is judging shobha because she wants to terminate this pregnancy. We all support the descision......but would never, ever want to se a return to the practices of 50 years ago. And-there really should not be any need for that in this day and age.

Instead , it is her wording of her query.
I for one, have read it several times-and it still comes across as direct,to-the-point-even cold.....and the term 'inhouse' seems very deliberate. NOT the words of someone with a limited command of the english language.
squad. Should it matter?
Thank you pasta! Thank Gawd someone understands where i'm coming from.
Why is the question annoying B00? It is a situation that many young women find themselves having to deal with. It wouldn't matter to me if the OP was making it up. Just because you don't think she is sincere you want to destroy it for everyone else.

If answering questions annoys you then go somewhere where people don't ask.

A person who is not a native English speaker may pick up cetain uses uses of grammar as they have encountered so it is not a reliable measure of their mastery of English.
Did you even read my answers beso? I thought it was pretty obvious why the poster's way of asking annoyed me.....because it came across as cold and callous!

Of course I could have ignored it, but I chose not to. And as I've already conceded that the girl in question might not have English as her first language- im not even sure how i can expand on that point either.

I'm sorry, but if someone said that to me, face to face, my initial reaction would be "you cold hearted cow". It would only be when/if they further went on to let me know/ explain why they asked in that specific way that i'd change my opinion, and as shobha hasn't come back to the question, I can only stand by my gut reaction.

beso-please read the response from gormless

and sqad- I haven't seen any 'stigma or predjudice' on here re this unwanted pregnancy...just alarm at the 'advice' asked for.
Hardly surprising shobha hasn't been back after the way she has been treated here.
Well until squad replied and some of took offence at it, our responses were fine.

True we didn't like the way she asked, and vocally said so, we still gave her sound advice, which was to go to her doctor or family planning clinic as soon as possible.

I'm leaving this question now, as we clearly can't agree beso, and i've no wish to go round and round the houses arguing the same point with you, have a good Easter :-)
well I never. I have worked as a prostitute for 23 years and I have never had an abortion. I have 12 children. some black, some white and some yellow. Dont do it.
