What's the best thing for tangled hair?

When I wash my hair it gets tangled and brushing when wet stretches and snaps it :(  What can I do to improve the condition when wet?

Do you use a hair conditioner LP? I use Fructis. We all get tangled hair when its wet. Also when you brush your dry hair start from bottom up.

I have just recently started using Trevor Sorbie Cleansing Shampoo from Boots. It's great. I find that I can comfortably brush through when my hairs still wet. It really softens and shines (something that every shampoo promises but often fails to provide). I use it with the nourishing rich conditioner and despite the price, it works a treat!
I forgot to mention - don't forget to use a wide toothed comb for brushing your hair when it's wet - this will prevent breakage, split ends, etc.
While your conditioner is still on your hair use a wide toothed comb to comb it through.  Then rinse off without rubbing, squeeze gently with a towel & you should have tangle free hair!
There's this product called Tangle Tamer - can't remember who makes it but it's in a green bottle. It's actually meant for kids but it's great! you can spray it on wet or dry hair and it makes the comb slide through relly easily. And it smells lovely - like pears!

All our 3 Granddaughters have long hair so we:

1). Wash hair & rinse. 2). Apply conditioner. 3). Comb it though, using a wide toothed comb & starting at the ends. 4). Rinse out conditioner, re-comb & dry.

No tangles - No tears!

I use Herbal Essence. i love it..see when i shower i let the conditioner soak in my hair for a few minutes, then i rinse and if my hair is still tangles, i put more in, until its all nice and i can actually run my fingers thru it...and have u herd of leave in conditioners?? When ur hair is still wet u just spray it in, and leave it...it works great too.. :)
try sunsilk ( the orange one!) and leave the conditioner on for 3+ mins and comb it through while wating then rinse and u shud have knot free hair! xx
