Your question is a bit crazy, chick!

Act of God, Gods will be done.  Are you referring to things like lightning, or floods etc, or are you being more theological?

He-Man used to swear by the "Power of Greyskull".

Yes it is a bit umm what's a good word - ominious - isn't it? I have no idea what it means myself and I was hoping that someone would be able to enlighten me. I'm supposed to answer it but I have no idea what it means so I decided to ask the nice peeps who frequent the answer bank.
Maybe because other expressions of power are used in a negative way. Like being a meglomaniac. People with power often use it to their own advantage, in a cruel or tyrannical way. Like the saying "power-mad". Whereas God's power is more to do with the intrinsic nature of God, which, by definition, is omnipotent (all powerful). But God does not use his power for selfish purposes. In fact, I'm not sure how God uses power at all! This is very much a philosophocal question which can keep you going round in circles!
I guess it depends on your position on religion. As an atheist, I would suggest that the power of God differs from other expressions by being made up, but I'm sure a believer would feel very differently!

Well I am a Christian but I don't understand the where this question is coming from...
Chick, who asked you the question and why do you have to answer it?

It's for a re homework lol..i have answered every other question cept that one and it's bugging me so much
no other expression is supposedly from omnipotence yet contains so much malice.

Do they differ at all? A display of power asserts ones power over others. It can show displeasure, or just remind people who is 'boss'. If the adage "Absolute power corrupts absolutely", is correct then we should all be worried.

I got an E in my GCSE RE, so don't listen to me - and I go to church every Sunday!

Peoples interpretation of God and his power differ so I imagine that it comes down to peoples belief in gods power.  They often believe if they pray, that in some miraculous way, the power of god will intervene.  i.e. if someone is sick and suffering etc.  Perhaps you need to expand on the context of the homework to get better feedback.

I think our answers were better!  :o)
Hi Crazy Chick, God's power is very different from any other expressions or experience that you will ever have. First of all because He's almighty God like no other. Secondly because in order for one to experience His power thru expression you would need the aid of the Holy Spirit because to the only way to really know the true expression of God's power is to know His Spirit and to have accepted His Son (Jesus Christ) as your personal Savior. If this is not what you are looking for check the bible it will have all the answers to God that you need or desire to know. I'll be praying for you. KDSGOTTAKNOW
