Depends upon which Indian restaurant that you go to and also what you have yo eat, but an average time would be 36hrs.

Thanks all for your answers - I just wondered if something I had eaten on Wednesday evening could have given me dodgy guts on Thursday evening and now I think that it definitely could have done!

well mine seems to go through up to a point and hang around. When I eat a meal I can guarentee that with 20 minutes I'm in the Kazi. So it's more about throughput than time.
