giving up fags - champix or zyban?

Champix has been linked with depression and suicidal thoughts so I wouldn't really want to try that.My other half gave up using Zyban a few years ago and it worked for him.He has since started smoking again. I have given up smoking several times in the past using nicotine patches and they work well for me,unfortunately I always start smoking again after about 6 months :-(
I gave up using zyban. It's five years ago now, and I still can't believe how it worked.
It doesn't suit everybody though and has to be regulary monitered by your Doctor, or practise nurse (as I was seeing).
You start taking the zyban 2 weeks before your 'give up date', whilst still smoking, then on 'the day' you just stop smoking. It's amazing how it works!.
