Just recently I have found that sometimes I produce an excessive amount of saliva, usually at around bedtime, it starts with a feeling of something stuck at the back of my throat ( about the bottom of my neck) then my mouth start to water loads, the thing that feels like it is stuck feels like it is working its way up my throat and I have to swallow a lot, this also makes me cough, then stops just like that.

Anyone had this, it's really annoying as it stops me sleeping.

I used to get the same Sally. It's known as "Water Brash" usually brought on by too much acid in the stomach. Try an anti antacid but if that does'nt work see your GP as you could have an ulcer. I was tested for that but it was acid reflux and I have to take Zoton especially after a spicy meal.
