You can take to much Vit B12 but with anything else your body expels the excess naturally.I may have to stand corrected tho as things change all the time but thats the ethos i've always gone by.
You can overdose on vitamins and if you are healthy with a good varied diet you do not need, and should not be taking, supplements.

Excellent information roughly half way down this page:

Don't forget many common foodstuffs have vitamins added - cereal, milk, margarines and spreads, as examples.

i take the cod liver oil for my creaky joints and i take a muti vitamin mainly because i dont eat any fruit, and i thought this may help.
So you are called fruit salad, but should be called fruit salad dodger?
You can triple your oil intake if you want it to actually make a difference (so my osteopath told me) and perhaps you should take glucosamine if you have creaky joints? And make sure you are getting enough calcium DAILY, as the body can't retain it and needs a dose every day.
I've often read that you can take too many vitamins.

I only take one Omega 3 Fish Oil capsule a day.

It's not always easy to eat sensibly when you're on the go, but I hopefully get enough vitamins into my body when I do.
your body can only store vit.d,hence need sunny summers to help bones in winter,so was told when watching the 1 show
