you have huge numbers of mast cells in the skin under the eyes.these mast cells will release histamine when you rub them, also darkness under the eyes tells us that we are tired.more sleep might do the trick?
Dark circles can indicate minor food allergies and weak kidney function. Try rotating your foods so you don't eat the same food every day. Drink cranberry juice regularly (a glass twice a day) Generally eat more grains, berries, and you might also try a magnesium supplement.
Thank you Vinny and JSB. I didn't realise about histamine release when you rub your eyes and JSB's food suggestions and Cranberry Juice idea seems good. It wasn't my question, but hopefully I will benefit - so thank you sweetheart as well.
Hi, cold eye pads really do work also using a good eye cream medium priced. eyes should be treated as a seperate area to the face also dark circles is a sign of too much salt in your diet.
I'm also having traumas with my undereye circles and shadows at the moment. I have bought some Clinique All About Eyes cream which seems to be helping a little, also YSL Touche Eclat, which despite the hype doesn't seem that great to me. makeupalley.com is a really great site to read reviews of undereye creams, concealers etc if you're thinking of splashing out on some cosmetic solutions. However, Vinny100 is right in saying that we probably need more sleep...
yup similar problems here. more sleep does seem to help - but DO NOT have several late nights in a row then try to make up for it by spending about 15 hours in bed. believe me, doesn't work, and it just disturbs your sleep patterns! Yes i am that stupid that i tried it! also for bags, try using warm teabags for about ten minutes over your eyes. doesnt stop dark circles, but will reduce that actually skin tension i.e. the bags!
Mix about one tablespoon of honey, three tablespoons of orange juice and some gram flour, just enough to prepare a paste. Finally, let the mixture cool in the refrigerator for sometime and then apply it around your eyes as an effective Dark Circles home remedy.
