we`re all familiar with the euphemism "big bristols" to discribe certain obvious charms of the female form. is it really true though?are women from that part of the country really(how can i put it politely) buxom westcountry wenches???

Yes, but only the busty ones.
You are obviously not from these parts otherwise you would know of our famous balloon festival which takes place here in Bristol each year. Where do you think Cameron Balloons get their ideas from if not from the locals. Why only last bank holiday I saw a huge pair of Y-fronts floating up our street. Mind you our buses get a bit crowded. Beat that.
Sorry to be a party-pooper but it's rhyming slang, from Bristol City the football team (you can work the rest out yourself ;-)). I have to confess however that I've never been to Bristol so I can't comment on how big the birds' jugs are down there.
