Only 6 - 8 pints!

No wonder you have a beer belly. Beer is full of calories.

Calories make you fat.

Men carry fat on their stomach.

Cut out the beer, restrict your diet, move about more.
How much exercise do you take, luckyman?

cut out white bread as well
As a comparison,

Guinness 200 calories per pint

Amstel lager - 227 calories per pint

Mars bar - 230 calories regular size.
yipes that is like 6-8 choolate bars!
Don't forget the crisps/nuts/scratchings he's probably scoffing while he drinks.

Maybe a bag of chips or a curry on the way home - or a kebab.

no ..not very often i eat chips,, or any take away for that matter ethel...i try to eat healthy and work out when possible!! why the stereotype???????
Because drinking alcohol makes you hungry, and when you have had a few pints diets go out the window.

If you eat healthily and exercise enough, the only thing you can do is stop drinking.
You will never lose the belly unless you stop drinking the alcohol regularly.

so why does it bloat me?? if i stop drinking beer does it ever go away 4 good?? and satzenbrau?? i am very interested in knowing why beer gives us guys a beer belly in the first place.
Alcohol coverts to fat. Men carry fat around their abdomens and Visceral fat, which is the fat that collects around the internal organs, so it's denser, deeper and harder to shift.

Men who carry more visceral fat are more likely to become Diabetic. So for health reasons alone, you should probably reduce your intake.
I told you in my first answer why beer gives you a beer belly.

That pregnant look is not good on a man.

You'll be doing your belt up under your belly before you know it.

Stop the booze.
We've lost a lot of weight using the Atkins diet. I'm not suggesting you should go on that diet, but one of its tenets is that you lay off the beer. Drinking moderately goes without saying, of course, but Dr Atkins suggests that you drink either light beers/lagers, white wine or spirits.
Have you thought about cutting your throat
My bruv had similar problem and it turned out to be 'fluid retention'. He constantly retained 2L of fluid due to intestinal blockage.

Had small op & out of hospital within 48hrs. All works well now and has lost 'beer belly'.
Have you considered that you may be sensitive to yeast & that cutting out bread as well as beer may give the desired result? Lots of food sensitivites result in bloating.
Also, while it's recommended that men stay under 21units of alcohol a week, this actually means a maximum of 3 a day & you cannot 'save them up' to indulge in a binge or you get all of the adverse effects on your health anyway!
One of the top dieting tips for people who frequent pubs is to have a large soft drink (pint of squash or water) in between alcoholic ones. You'll save a heap of money if you don't drink alcohol & say you're the 'designated driver'! Most pubs give the driver free soft drinks. Have you worked out how long you'd have to cycle or run each day to burn off a 400 calorie or two pint a night habit?
