Can anyone say if yeast can trigger an asthma attack?

If it is inhaled, very likely. Any fine particulate could. If ingested it is far less likely, but not impossible. Asthma is a typical allergic response, and so if you have an allergy to yeast it would trigger it. This seems unlikely though. Moulds certainly trigger asthma via their spores.
