I am fit and healthy, I used to be fat as I child and lost alot of weight around the age of 18. .I am now currently fit and healthy, I run and row almost daily.

But these veins do look bad I am fair and have pale skin so they show up more, but they are very close to the surface 'but not coming through'

Are these veins just because of the weight loss, after I had developed into a 17stone 'well build person' (6ft) to then lose the weight (5 stone) meant all that vein system is just closer to the surface???

oh and is there anything i can do to help the condition of the veins, I try not to cross my legs of that counts.
Im in my early 30's and I have some of them on my legs at the top...I think its just an age thing
Could be an age thing. I'm 28, have lost 2 stone in the last 5 years (10.5 stone to 8.5 stone - i'm 5'10), and I too have noticed I have these vein things on one of my legs! One of them seems quite big and sticks out too!
Do they look like this? Although this is extreme

I cannot get you link to work but they look like this except for the big brused area
My link was the same. :)

It's just cosmetic, nobody really knows what causes it.

I looked at that clinic's costs at sorting the problem and well 'wow' I think I will have to live with it and get a tan on the legs lol
