No- but then I don't put it on lamb either, hate the stuff.
No- at least not by the staff at a high class restaurant, the staff should be sufficiently well trained not to raise even an eyebrow over the clients little foibles.
I can't think of anything I'd use it for except lamb but if you're in a decent restaurant, if they have it then you should be able to have it as an accompaniment with whatever you chose.
i used to work with a woman who thought it was disgusting to put it on anything other than lamb, it wasnt good manners, what load of rubbish i love it and put it on all roasts and if you like it then have it
I don't know why but when I see the word 'mint sauce' written down, my mouth waters uncontrollably. When I was pregnant I had to carry a jar round with me to sniff every few minutes. Weird lol
I have mint sauce on every type of of roast dinner. In fact every roast dinner I make (regardless of what meat is involved) we have mint sauce, yorkshire pud and stuffing with it. That's what my Mum always did, and that's what I've come to expect.
