Unusual goings on

I came off the Pill in Jan 08. Since then I have had reasonably regular (27 - 32 days), light periods (4 days). Last month my period appeared 8 days early. Since this time I have been feeling bloated, constipated, tired, with sore nipples. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests both negative (the last a week after my last period was supposed to be due).

I am taking Windeez and Senna and nothing is working.

Any idea's what might be causing this and how I can manage it?

Sounds like your hormones are up the wall, the pill does take a little time to get out of your system.

As for the constipation, you should try lactulose, you can now buy it over the counter at the chemist...I swear by the stuff!

My GP advised me that the Pill only takes a couple of weeks to completely leave your system and period should return to normal after 6 months if not before.

I've been stopped for 7 months and had no problems to date so I doubted it was hormonal!
the pill can be out of your system the day after you stop taking it as i stopped taking the pill and within days (when we worked it out!) was pregnant. it was the same with my mirena coil which i had after daughter was born, we decided 18mths later to have another baby and they said it could take mths before the hormones were really gone but alas 2 wks after coil was removed i was pregnant! you could be pregnant and it could just be that you dont have enough pregnancy hormone to show up on a test yet. plus you could be trying testing too early if your last period was unusually early your cycle could be reverting back to normal. get the cheap 99p tests and keep testing until either positive or period!
