I know it costs a lot of money but I found accupuncture very relaxing.
If you can, get a pet or two (providing you like animals, that is). Having to look after another critter is seriously good for your health !

Swimming is a brilliant exercise, both physically and mentally - as you glide up and down the pool, all one's worries just float away....

Best tip for a happy soul ? Either do one good thing or say at least one nice thing to another humanoid, every day - it doesn't have to be much; a simple few minutes of conversation with a lonely person can make THEM feel so much better.

Much like Juggerling, actually in all respects. I replace the swimming (no pool for miles :o() with a really good walk with my two little dogs. The fresh air, exercise and the fact that total strangers stop and speak with me and the dogs is the biggest tonic I have in life.

Go to a yoga class. The endorphins let off by the physical exercise work wonders on the mind when it is distracted by thinking about body position.
I am a carer for my 90 year old Mum,and very stressed. My son bought me a fly fishing lesson! For two hours, I was completely unwound. There were 5 lakes there, bunnies grazing near my feet, kingfishers, so much wildlife. I can honestly say, I was completely absorbed in the peace and tranquility of it all. It was wonderful. I didnt catch a fish, but that didnt seem important! It worked for me.
Meditation, de-stresses and helps you contemplate the on the good things.
