At the start the wee geordie dude said "welcome to the 4th semi final ".
Is it just me or do you have four quarter finals then 2 semi finals ?

there doing the semi finals in groups so 2 from each days show go through to the finals if that makes sence it

No - you can have as many Semi-finals as you want, as long as the next round is the final.
