I am in the early stages of the menopause and have been taking starflower oil supplements which worked really well for tender breasts. However, I think my body has now got tolerant of this as they are getting tender again. Anyone have any ideas of an alternative remedy? Don't want to go down the HRT route as I have high blood pressure.

I can sympathise with you over this - I had just the same problem. I took, and still do, Evening Primrose. I take the 1000 ml, 1 a day. They take a while to get into your system, about a month I think, but I found them to be a great help. I couldn't take HRT either due to previous deep vein thrombosis. Good luck.
i took evening primrose for 4 years and don't think it did a thing for me. what i have found useful over menopause is boots own brand 'menopause plus' which contains just about everything recommended for this time of life (vitamins e, c b6, calcium, magnesium, zinc, isoflavones, linolenic acid, lignans, linoleic acid, citrus bioflavonoids). i didn't go down the hrt route either, preferring to tough it out without. i always found a large glass of wine helped too :)
good luck, it does come to an end eventually.
