I love my new headphones....

I'm listening to the free ub40 album I got from the Sunday paper, I so love free stuff!!! I can hear it so clearly it sounds amazing better than just being played through speakers. I love my new headphones, my headphones are so good.

Mine are panasonic and I thoroughly recommend them!!

But I have not got UB40!! shame as I love them too!!!

Best recent by a long way is an iPOD, not so much for music as talking books. Load up a decent Ruth Rendell or Agatha Christie and walking and cycling (offroad) become absorbing ways to spend a sunny afternoon.

p.s. Sandra, what make of headphones ? I spent an obscene amount on top-end Sennheisers some years ago, and they are so good they nearly freak you out. The only better sensation is to turn large hi-fi speakers facing each other about 4 ft apart and lay on the floor between them.

I agree with 4get lol that horrible whining "singing" cough voice of Campbell makes my skin crawl lol

Personally I will never spend more than an tenner on headphones as they are only as good as what you play the music through....

I once made a bit of a fool of myself in a serious hi-fi shop. I had gone in to listen to the very best amplifiers/speakers available (no chance of buying!!) and taken a few albums of my own. They played one on a Linn Sondek through a Linn amplifier setup with Ruark speakers. This is big money stuff, Linn are made in Scotland and Ruark in Southend-on-Sea, British equipment, fly the flag !

I asked the demonstrator if he could boost the bass a bit and he said there are no tone controls. "What you are hearing is exactly what was recorded in the studio, why would you want to change that?"

I prefer earbuds to headphones. Headphones hurt my ears.
