Hi I was just wondering if anyone here has tried the Madal Bal Detox? Also known as the the lemonade diet or Lemon Detox!

If you have I was just wondering how it was, I'm trying it at the moment and am on my third day, It's all going fine apart from the fact I haven't been to the loo since I started it (apart from having wee's) lol, has anyone else experienced this and if you have, how long was it before you went?
I have a peppermint tea in the morning and one at night, but to no avail, lol!
Any help will be gratefully appreciated!!!!!
Thanks

This is off the GMTV website. Haven't tried it myself but hope this helps.

The syrup is made from the sap of maple and palm trees.
The syrup which was invented by a Swiss health company in the 1980's - was introduced to Britain five years ago as a detox product. It is already popular across Europe.

In addition to weight loss, the makers of the Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup claim it provides the following benefits:

Greater resistance to illness
Fortified willpower and determination
Improved concentration and clarity of thought
Increased energy and vitality
Clearer skin and eyes
Shinier hair and stronger nails
Preparation

To make one glass of Natural Tree Syrup and Lemon Drink add the following:

Two small tablespoons (or 20 ml) of Natural Tree Syrup
Two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Half a lemon - use fresh lemons, not lemon drink or concentrate
Half a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger - adjust to taste
Mix the ingredients and dilute with half a pint of hot or cold water and drink away!
There are four versions of the diet:

The Full Detox - where you replace all solid food with the drink for at least 5 days but no more then 14 days.
The Relaxed Version - you replace one or two meals a day with the drink and stay away from wheat, dairy etc.
The Once-a-Week Version - you do the diet one day every week.
The Master Plan - you do it one day a week, plus a Full Detox twice a year.

Does it work?

Nutritionist Amanda Ursell says that the diet works because cayenne pepper or ginger speeds up your metabolism by 15% for a few hours after eating.
The maple syrup gives you energy - you can use honey, treacle or another natural glucose source - and the lemon makes the drink taste nice.
However, Amanda says this diet does not
