no no no mcfluff, i never ever read the destructions! They just confuddle me more than i need to be confuddled!
Defo count the parts first. Nightmare when youre nearly at the end and cant complete it. And never ever hammer the wood direct, if you have to, use a bit of card on wood then hammer through that, voila no dents.

hey 3ight, im psyching myself up first,. might need to make another coffee first
Oh and make sure the room you are building it in is big enough for finished product and you can get out the door :-) Or following those tips make sure if you are making it in a different room you can get finished product into room you want it in :-)
Open box.
Do NOT discard packaging, as this sort of thing is best done in surrounding mayheim.
Open little plastic sachets of screws and bolts.
Immediately lose two of them.
Arm yourself with appropriate building tools, ie: a shoe for hammering, a kitchen knife for screw-driving, a cushion to put under your knees to avoid carpet burns.
Contemplate various parts of future lovely piece of furniture and feel wonderful sense of impending achievement.
Pick up random piece.
Put back down as no idea where to start, since have long lost the instructions.
Look for instructions.
Find instructions under bit of packaging, but realise they are all in Chinese.
Pick up random piece again and start trying to attach to another random piece.
Stab yourself repeatedly with kitchen knife.
Throw something against the wall in frustration.
Give up.
Have a drink.
Call helpful DIY genius mate.

Be careful, flat pack furniture, like dog, can smell fear!

Good luck. ;O)
Lol @ Max!
Call my mate and tell him you'll buy him a pint. Works for me anyway.

Never again, though.

When I moved into my flat about 6 years ago I bought a flat pack coffee table wasnt till about 3 years ago that someone pointed out Id put the whole bottom on upside down.
