1g fat = 9 calories, therefore 28g (1 oz) 255 cal
theres no answer to this question - are you talking about losing fat or weight? you can easily lose one ounce in weight (just don't drink any water for a while - e.g. weigh yourself in the morning and there you go easy)- if your talking losing fat then no one can tell you - you could workout every day but if your eating fish and chips washed down with lucazade for every meal then your body will never bother utilising your fat deposits because it has a much more readily available fuel source. a realistic goal would be to lose 2-6 pounds in a month - without a full nutritional, metobolic and excerise investigation the answer to this question will remain unknowable... unless i've completely missed the point in which case please ignor my ramble - your sincerely IgnorantBliss

So, if I start eating 255 calories LESS than I usually eat every day, I should lose an ounce a day, yes?

I've heard 3500 calories equals a pound off if you're under by that much or a pound on if you're over by that much.
