Jobs in a university genetics department?

Can anyone tell me the general staff? And who takes care of the equipment, services it, etc? Do they have a special department within the university or a handyman, or when something breaks or goes wrong do they call someone in? Any more info on genetics in universities would be great, thanks!!

Hey Vulpine,

We have an Estates department which deals with faults around the uni whether it be in the offices, accommodation or grounds. The IT department deal with any IT queries etc.

I am at Essex.
