Ankle Fluid

A few years back, i fell down some steps and went over on my ankle.

I could'nt walk on it for a good few days, and had to keep it elevated, because if my foot dropped in any way, it shot a pain up me whole leg.

I never went to the doctors, just rested, and bandaged my foot!

The problem now is that it becomes swollen and aches from time to time, and there is also a fluid with goes around my ankle bone.

Could anyone give me any insight as to what is causing this, or if their is any advice to bring the swelling down!!

All advice appreciated

Thanks!!

The only advice I can give Nickygurl is that you really should go and see your GP. You have obviously done some damage and it needs to be looked at by a professional.
Hi, Nickygurl
I would advise you to see your doctor, but a great way to bring the swelling down is to wrap a cabbage leaf around your foot/ankle at night and cover it with a bandage. It's an old wives' remedy, but I know it works, because I've done it.
