Coffee enema? Certainly doesn't sound like something you dunk your hob nobs in. Or coconut shortbread with dark chocky chunks actually. I'm intrigued... coffee?

My fundamental problem with enemas is that your bottom should not be a place for things to go up, it seems to defeat the purpose.

Coffee enemas have been in use for a long time. It is not a 'think I'll give that idea a go' treatment.
It is documented that a regime of coffee enemas for certain cancer sufferers has been beneficial to the point of extending life expectancy.

China I have no idea how it works, or how it was discovered. You just have to be thankful that there are those out there who think to try stuff in unusual ways to help with our ailments and illnesses.

I have always wondered who thought shark liver oil would shrink piles!

China, the cancer institute in America are studying this at the moment. Most scientists agree that having a coffee enema opens the bile ducts becuase of niacin (i think) and caffeine. This in turn make your liver produce more bile (not the gall bladder, and helps get rid of the toxins in your blood. Some of these toxins are attributed to being cancer causing. Enemas in cancer treatment aren't unusual. Sufferers often claim to feel perked up after it, but sometimes things are a case of mind over matter.

Cazz did you know that coffee enemas relieve the symptoms of gallbladder disease? The bowels do have a natural ability to clean but you sigmoid colon is very important and when it gets bunged up with cr@p, like red meat that hasnt been chewed properly, you can feel sluggish, tired and sick. If you ate a brilliant diet, full of fibre, seaweed, no refined sugars and plenty of prebiotics then I agree your bowels would not be responsible for illness.
