Spongy testicle

My dad has been complaining that one of his testicles is uncomfortable and is a bit spongy/swollen. he has examined himself and there is no lumps or anything! 4 years ago he had a Stroke and it is the testicle that is on his non affected side that he is complaining about! has anyone else had this problem?? im worried sick about it but he doesnt seem bothered. the doctor is taking a look tomorrow!

It could be the start of a hydrocele - which is harmless in itself.

A hydrocele can get very large which causes discomfort, but there are lots of successful treatments available.

He is right to see a GP though.

Ethel....you were right! he has 2 hydrocele's and small cysts that are nothing to worry about! doc said if they start to bother him he can have the hydrocele's removed.
