me and my wife went 8 yrs ago and thought it was a very nice place, we also went on a 3 day trip whilst there and saw the sites......not bad at all.

went for xmas two years ago, i had a great time
i went there with my friend and her family when we were teens 20 years ago.
It was good fun, cheap drinks, good entertainment and had some great times.
word of warning though, be prepared to be harrased if youre female and alone

Me, my brother, mum and dad went about 5 years ago and we all loved. Beautiful weather, lovely people etc etc. x

I'm with Julie, we did Hammamet but that was over 15 years ago so that's probably not much use
well when we got there we were immediately told not to venture out of the hotel at night cause we would get ripped off. That was a head doer for a fortnight. We did venture into town one day and yep, you guessed it we got ripped off.

There were "schools" on the beach teaching kids as young as 4 how to "rip off the English" a fair bit of begging from the locals and then the waiters peed us off to. They wanted us to try their delicacy (of which i cant even remember now lol) and it was bloody awful. When we didn't eat it, that was that, they spent the last few days not speaking to us and giving us daggers!
All probably irrelevant to you but it all just put me off! I didn't like the people there that was the top and bottom of it. I had been to turkey the previous year and found the opposite. They were amazing people so friendly and kind. I loved it!

Julie
Yes I loved Turkey too, just fancied Tunisia cos Africa is my dream but there are no flights from our airport(cannot be ar$$ed to travel to London) and thought Tunisia was the closest I would get. Any way thanks for letting me know I will get hubby to read it when he comes in.

I think redcrx has but she cant post anything :-(

She's not in the dungeon is she????
I hated Tunisia. I went to Sousse and the only thing that spoilt it, were the men. We got hassled day and night, even in the hotel, they were trying to climb up to our room.
Every night the hotel lounge was full of men, leering and making horrible suggestions.
On the beach, in your bikini, more leering.
I said never again.
But a friend of mine loved it so much, she even married a Tunisian. They're divorced now!!

Go don't be swayed by what other people say. Find out for yourself, or else one day you will regret it.

i do agree with funnygirl babyjane, it is something you have to make your own mind up on. I didnt like it, you might love it. Different times, different experiences. You will never ask a question like this and get 100% positive replies. Let us know what you do!
All the best
Just popping onto your thread to say hi Baby Jane , hope everything is well :-) xxx
