Having suffered another migraine today, with the full coloured flashing lights even when I closed my eyes, I got to wondering whether blind people suffer from migraines and if so, do they 'see' the flashing lights?

Sorry to see you're in the wars again, lankeela, I do hope you're on the improve very soon.

I know the 'flashing lights' sensation only too well, but can't assist in the research, though I would imagine that 'yes' would be the answer in both cases.

best wishes, S
Hi lankeela - sorry to hear you have a migraine.

When I get them, I get the full works too, including silver zig-zags! It can be very disorientating!

I wouldn't know what blind people experience though.
I would imagine that the blind do "see" the flashing lights...which is called the "aura" because it is not some thing in the outside, visible world, but comes from within the brain. eerrr-does this make sense??? Hope you are better now...I get the damn things also.

Thanks all, I can go for months without one, then get two or three on consecutive days. Luckily provided I quickly take some tablets they don't develop into a full blown attack.
