Someone switch the lights on!

Today started off brilliantly sunny and fresh. It never got overcast as such, but the sun did start playing peek-a-boo. But now Im considering putting the lights on!! Its only 3pm! (Ooops school run time!)

Anyone else sitting in the dark?

Does anyone else get a sadistic feeling of glee when they notice their neighbours still have their washing out when it's raining?

Oops, I should quit whining about it getting dark in the afternoon when some of you have been in the dark all day should I?

My curtains are now firmly closed and the lights are on. I came in to find the heating on too (guess who still hasnt changed the timer after the clocks changed lol) thats about to be turned off though, not quite cold enough for that yet!

BOO, I once thought I had been burgled, well, my washing line had! Turns out my neighbour had seen my washing out when it started raining. I wasnt home so they jumped over and took it in for me! It was very kind of them I thought, Im just glad I dont put my "smalls" out though! lol

Oh Boo thanks for admitting that. I don't feel such a baddy now. My neighbour, end of the garden, is slightly uphill from me and supports her line with the longest prop in history. It irritates me greatly to see her washing at all several feet above the fence but pleases me enormously when it gets wet.

No, it's a brilliant sunny day, 24c, woke up in daylight, will not have to put the lights on until 7.30pm and am typing this sitting in a T shirt with the doors wide open...................Of course I'm not in the UK though !

Actually, one thing I like about the colder, darker days is, once everything else is done and I dont have to go out again, I can get nice and cosy and stay snug and warm :)

It's spring in Cape Town at the moment.......wait until we get summer and it's 28c to 32c !

Mid winter here is July and August but even then some days it's warmer than the UK....especially in so-called summer this past year !
