Now that ChatterBank has been restored Body & Soul can return to it proper function.

A two part question:

Is it true that sex would be even better if we had only waited until it was over before beginning?

and

Would an extra ten minutes really make that much difference?

no

oh yes indeed
5 minutes more would be good even : - )
I presume sex will be better as I'm putting in the waiting time, if anticipation is a contributory factor then it is going to be explosive.
However, being celibate, I am loathe to give up my present condition so cheaply for an experience that can only be measured in minutes, even double digit ones. (No egg timer jokes please).
What effect this would have on my mind is unfathomable.

Is that called "Extra time" or "Injury time?"

Theland, the effect that celibacy has had on your mind is equally unfathomable.

Triggerhippy, "90 minutes"? You're due for a name change. By that time I'm usually ready for another go! (if I haven't already had one or two)
A frank and serious discussion about sex is most welcome, and could save me a fortune in counselling, not that I admit a need for counselling you understand.
It's not me, honest! It's this friend who wants me to ask questions, and glean information. This friend you see, not me.
Trigger happy - Do you change ends after 45 minutes and eat an orange to keep you going?

February? You should both be recovered by now.

"What's you watchin' on the telly, Dear?"

Theland, No need to get graphic! I wonder if the vicar is watching?

Triggerhippy - Sorry to have renamed you by mistake, some psychological explanation there considering the subject matter. Freudian?
But onward and upward as they say.
I'm sure if the vicar peers in, he will only see a healthy attitude to sex being discussed, and may wish to make a contribution himself, after all, vicars have to counsel all types of people with all types of relationship problems.

Triggerhippy - I'm glad to learn that you don't sleep around, good for you. Yucky pursuit anway in my estimation, all tinsel and no content.
Do i miss it? I did at first, thought that as you say, there was an itch I couldn't scratch, but the itch went away, so no, I don't miss it.
Maybe I have a classical text book life, where sexual activity is like a barometer of things like maturity, depth of relationship, duration of relationship, and the teenage starry eyed wonder of love and the sap rising gradually changing over time and experience into something entirely different, that a teenager would look at me as if I had two heads if I tried to explain it to them.
I think I lost the plot there.
Am I making sense?

triggerhippy, Anticipation, that extra time that fills ones mind and affects ones physiology with the possibilities of ones experience prior to a soon to be realised fulfillment of desire (or dread). Such as the return of ChatterBank!
Oh that!!! That's foreplay isn't it?
The hor d'ouvres?
Are we going to discuss it?
The anticipation of an even can be delicious.

Extra time could be like that extra cake though... looks good, makes you feel bad.
sickly sweet eh china?
