My daughter-my one and only sprog-has gone back to university today. There is now 150 miles 'tween me in the West country and her in London. Tho she doesn't live with me,we have spent a LOT of time together over the summer.....first on hols back home to NY(shared a room and didn't argue, lol!) and she has stayed with me while her BF has been working away. Gee-I am REALLY going to miss her(even tho she is a slob!)and...worrier that i am, I have even more to worry about as she is house-sharing with 3 other girls(oh the mess!!!oh the dirt!!!...need I say more?). So please put a smile on my face and help me to stop the mumsie/worry thing

hiya pastafreak...my bro went back this week and even though we don't live together I notice it too. What I've just read is a lovely mother and daughter relationship - loads of people would love that, I am lucky enough to have it with my mum. You should be proud :)

My son is away at school too, worrying comes with the territory, lol lol. I find if I call him every week it puts my mind to rest for a couple of days anyways, lol lol. I know he gets sick of running for the phone but I know he misses home, makes me feel better, lol lol. I miss his dirty socks on the floor and the shower in a shambles, didn,t think I would, empty nest syndrome they call it. It passes when he visits with all his dirty laundry in a garbage bag for me to do,lol lol.
