Changed their minds?

Hello All,

I haven't been on here in weeks but lately everyone (in 3D world) has been talking about Madelaine Mcann and the fact that her parents are now suspects.

It got me thinking back to when she first went missing and a few people on AB (Me included), got slated for saying there was something odd about her parents and they way they were acting/dealing with the situation.

I just wondered if anyone has changed their opinions now and if they are starting to think the same or if they still stand firm that this is just a normal case of 'child gets abducted'?

Hi Rubes :o)

I haven't changed my mind as I hadn't made my mind up in the first place...lol. I am still a fence-sitter and although like you I feel there is something 'odd' about the case I don't know what it is.

The only thing I will say (finally) is that I don't think she was abducted ~ not from the apartment anyway...and that was my first thought on hearing the news. So in that case no, I haven't changed my mind!
I think the sniffer dog did it.
You are all just like vultures picking over a corpse!

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!

I think everyone giving their tinpot theories on here whether driven from TV, newspaper reports or gossip etc. should be ashamed of themselves.

Getting things in prospective ....

If the mother is involved then the father and the rest of the family have lost a loved one ....

If the father is involved then the mother and the rest of the family have lost a loved one ....

If they didn't have diddly squat to do with it then the whole family will have this tragedy to deal with for the rest of their lives ...

Even debating whether they were foolish to leave her alone in the first place is irrelevant as we all must go through our lives with "there by the grace of God go I" moments where we were lucky something terrible didn't happen to one our loved ones ....

THIS IS NOT A SOAP OPERA OR "REALITY TV" to be dribbled over salaciously .....

If one/both parents are found to be negligent or guilty are you really going to be jumping around going "I told you so", is this really what you're life has come to?

If they are found to be totally innocent are you going to be conspicuous by your absence on these pages ....

PLEASE GROW UP FOR THE SAKE OF THE REST OF MANKIND!!!
morning rubes I dont know what to say about madelaine but just wanted to say hi, I did ask yesterday on here if anyone had seen you
It's funny but I think i've gone opposite to most people. I started by thinking that the parents were odd and that something was up with them, especially the lack of emotion, but now I just can't belive they did it.

Really can't understand how they could have gotten away with moving the maddie! My gut feeling is that they are innocent, don't know why, but maybe I am trying to have faith in them???
Every human action, whether it has become positive or negative, must depend on motivation and circumstances.

They have been faced with an exceptional situation, nobody can predict or determine how they would react to such an event - or the continuing pressure - whether innocent or guilty, so it was always going to be an odd reaction to those who are not experiencing the type of emotions that they must be going through - even if guilty.

As I said on another thread, until you know the truth it is all speculation.

Johnutar - I really don't know what your problem is but you need to get over this! Is Madelaine your daughter? Because that is the only reason I can see for you making a big song and dance about it all.

I don't have any relation to her or her family and I am allowed to speculate as much as I wish! I am not going to be jumping for joy at all if the parents are proved guilty but I won't be crying either. I am quite unphased by the whole thing. I know that sounds harsh and it's a tragic situation but I kind of find it hard to get emotionally involved as it's just a 'story' I read in the papers.. if that makes sense? Meaning I don't really know these people. Worse things are going on in the world and it's human nature to speculate and create theories. Be it from 'Who stole my pen?' to something a major as this.
People are allowed opinions and you have voiced yours but there was no need to fly off on one. I'm not accusing the damn parents. I just think this whole situation is odd.. and has something fishy about it.

Hey 4get... I have been busy busy busy. Have been online a bit but only really checking Facebook and clocking out again. Things been busy at work and I have had some things going on but I am good and having fun. Hows things with you? What have I missed?
I;m fine and not alot :-) Same old Same old :-)
johnutar ~ instead of not reading the question or the replies properly (and copying & pasting the same reply) why not ignore the thread in it's entirety?

I can't see how you can describe the first two replies (or the Q) as akin to a vulture???
Hmmm, i was one of the people on here who said the parents seemed suspicious right from the very start.
I havent changed my mind yet either...
as I said, to all the great debaters, VULTURES!!!!

just take a minute to think what that family is going through and thank God it's not you and YOU ALL MOVE ON.
i just think the parents are lucky to have the mdia on their side because from what I've seen so far they are terrible terrible parents!!

Very true Octavius and I keep saying that I can only guess how I would react in a situation like this and I like to think I believe in the good in people but I know that in this day and age, you can't do that anymore. Everyone is a suspect and no-one can be trusted. Just because they are the parents, it doesn't mean they aren't capable. It would be awful if it was them but it's awful anyway. I don't know. I just think it's odd.
Hi ruby i have always thought the same as you did but did not put on here as i knew it would get slated and it also goes back to one other thing as well who in there right mind would leave children of that age alone even if they did not go very far and it was further than people think as they had to walk around the swimming pool
but what are they going through if they did do it (and I;m not saying they did) then I wouldnt be thinking poor parents at all. We all have views on this and you have no right to call people vultures for being interested in this. And thats what the McCanns wanted after all with all the media to keep us talking about it.
Hiya Rosie

No I'm stubbornly holding onto the belief that they didn't harm their daughter. Whether that's because I don't want to believe they did it, i've no idea.
And to nutar who the hell can we move on when its being rammed down our throats by the press and tv every bloody day
not to keep us talking about it but to help find her alive.
nonuts - just ignore it as everyone else tells me to do concerning these threads!
