I am in a quandry, I haven't bought any maternity clothes yet but will have to in the next month I guess. So my question is - do I have to buy big knickers??????? I mean ones that will come over my bump and right up to my b00bs or smaller ones that sit under the bump.

I know it is all down to personal preference but was just wondering, God I'm bored!

I tried them and hated them and ended up with under bump ones from mothercare!
what ever makes you comfortable.....nothing to say that you cant wear a g-string (although the thought of that seems orrible when pregnant!!) :)

lol someguy, a g-string!!!!!!!! Noooooooooooooo! Even the thought of it has me feeling queasy.
wear whatever you are comfortable in. I wasnt going to waste money on maternity pants so just bought a larger size big pants from tesco or matalan.

Im wearing shorts from Dotty Ps at the moment but I havnt got too huge yet and am hoping not to for a good few months lol
I know warpig............just sort of realised what i put down now uuurrrggghhh!!! lol...........how about commando!!!

Rev just you stick to the leopard skin thong, much more becoming.

someguy -commando!!!!!!! I am presuming from your name that you are a guy, although I have been wrong before, but commando???? I really don't know what to say!
My mum was horrified when I refused to wear big pants when I was expecting 7 years ago and continued to wear things throughout my pregnancy! This time however Im finding the most comfortable thing is shorts. They fit nice and snug under my bump :)
I meant thongs not things! lol
I prefer the elephants trunk lol
Mine had to go under the bump cause they didnt make pants big enough to go over it! Saying that, im still having that problem and my little one is nearly 4! Hmmmmmmm
No warpig, i am actually a girly...........was on a different name a few months ago but took my sons username (on a different computor) thought it would be easier :)
I'm beginning to feel slightly weird here, but I don't remember buying any other type of knickers throughout my pregnancy? I just wore my normal ones and they automatically fitted under my bump. I did however buy some cheap big knickers from Ethel Austin for my stay in hospital.
B00, worry not! If you're weird then so am i! I didnt buy special pants either!

LOL boo is Ethel Austin that woman you told me about who lives down your road? Could you ask her if she has any left?

someguy I have to say that is a bit of a relief (that you are a girl not a guy)

Rev I now have a mental image in my mind and try as I might I just cant get rid of it, cheers for that one mate!

To be honest I wasn't even sure if they did make big maternity pants! I will wait and see how it goes, it will be winter when I am really big and I might be grateful for some big belly warmers.

I never bothered with maternity knickers, just wore my normal ones all the way through.Have you seen the price of them anyway? they are very expensive for what they are and you only wear them for such a short time.
Hi warpig sweetie, you wear whatever you feel comfy in .
Can't say Iv'e seen many Bridget Jones type pants during my midwifery days and I just wore my usual ones when I was having my son , but each to her own . Hope you are keeping well and feeling better :-) xx
im still wearing my normal ones! exept for a few that are too tight so ive got the next size up! couldnt stand the thought of those huge things cos i dont like things tight on my belly and neither does the monkey!

SMALL PANTS ALL THE WAY !
Question Author
Small pants it is then! Might just buy one pair of gigantic pants to scare mrwarpig with, thats how bored I am!

Thanks bigmamma I feel great now, not tired at all, thank goodness, also got the results of my amniocentesis on Monday and everything was clear. We have to go back home for a birthday party in a couple of weeks and I hope my non-existent bump suddenly appears as that will cheese the ma-in-law off, the shame, the shame! Silly old bat, I know thats not very gracious of me but I just don't feel very benevolent toward her at the moment, c'est la vie!
