Hello DONNA, can't tell youi what it is but pleased you will be able to get it checked out . Out of interest though , my sister had a similar sounding thing which was a ganglion and she had it removed . Let us know how you get on and all the best :-)
Was just about to suggest it might be a ganglion too, bigmamma. Nice to see you XXX. RATTER has some fibrous lumps in one of his hands and this is due to Dupuytren's Syndrome. He is having his hand fixed soon though. Another thing that can form lumps on the bone of your fingers is osteoarthritis, which I have. They are painful while forming, but the pain goes away after a few weeks. This is more something middle aged and older people get though, although it can also affect the young. I hope you are able to find out what it is soon donna. Let us know what they say please. Best wishes :o)
My first thought was a ganglion too.

If it is, although it can be painful, it's nothing to worry about Donna. I had one on my wrist for years and the doc didn't think it needed removing. It came up and went down at random and then one day it just disappeared and never came back!
Hi Carakeel , nice to see you too , how are you getting on lately love ?
I also have osteoarthritis and spondylosis and this does give you odd bone lumps and are painful while inflammed.
xx
i had one a few years ago and had it removed, in day case surgery, had to have 4 weeks off work, the surgeon said that unless it was bothering me or i was catching it, which i was because of the job i was doing, he wouldnt have removed it.
