Yes, theres a shadow ghost that likes to hang around in my house.
Also, when i was young me and some family were at my aunties. I said "mummy, whos that man in the chair over there?", of course to everyone else the chair was empty, i kept repeating what i was saying asking them who he was, but as nobody else could see him i couldn't get an answer.
It was only later in life, looking back at the faint memory, that i realise he was a ghost who had sat himself down in the chair.
Looked solid as well.

Hotpink - I've seen LOADS of them! Even put my hand through someone who looked as solid as any person standing next to you would!! I have several entities in my house, and one whom I fondly called "Fred", who's followed me from house to house. He isn't always very active these days, but others are. The thing is - uunless you've seen a ghost with your own eyes, it's hard to believe in them. It can be quite scary at first, but all they are, are the spirits of people who once were, which haven't moved on.
Well I dont quite know what to say about that taperface as you must share our fred with us. We moved in here nearly 4 years ago and a fair few strange things have happened here but as you say our fred as we call him as well seems to be friendly and even one day my g/f said she talked to me as I walked past the kitchen door that was open and swore I had just walked past her when I was upstairs all the time.
Another thing the previous people have called the house sleepy hollow ( a well known supernatural film I believe) and there is a plaque they put on the front wall saying sleepy hollow.
Another tale I was working in a empty house one day and there was no other people working there and no body else knew that I was going there on that day. I was in the kitchen when I heard a loud thud on the empty floorboards upstairs, went straight up there and of course no body was there and the rooms were tottaly empty and bare.
So went downstairs and carried on working then about 10 mins later, there was this almighty thud from up stairs that could have only been caused by somebody throwing something on the floor very,very hard and it did not come from outside or next door it came from one of the bedrooms.
So after I wiped myself went up there and of course nothing on floor or anything, so I thought oh well its just one of those unexplained things I suppose.
I then went to my next job and when I got there one of the other blokes working there said to me have you been to the haunted house yet, I said no thinking it could be a wind up, then he told me about how one of the labours on the firm had been to this house (bearing in mind I had not told him I had just come from there) and was upstairs when he heard someone walk in to the room he was in behind him and felt all the hairs on the back of his kneck go up,and of course when he looked round nobody was there, also I did hear that somebody else had

Just to ad a bit more as could not fit any more on last post (thank god did I hear).
I know you think that I was being wound up but I know I was not. both the front and back doors were locked from the inside by me (dodgy area) the second noise I heard could have only been caused by something being thrown or slammed onto the bedroom floor upstairs very hard and I only made up my mind to go there half an hour before I did so nobody could have known or even saw me driving there as I was not in my normall car that day and this was about 18 months ago now and I am sure I would have found out if in any way it was a wind up within a week or two,,,,,,,

There is a ghost in my office, we girls have no trouble with him and we don't find being in the office on our own a problem but none of the maintenance guys will work in there by themselves. He has a habit of turning the blow hand drier on when the chaps are in the loo but never does it to the girls.
After my boyfriend died (many years ago now) I regularly used to 'see' him and things used to get moved around my flat usually things like my hairbrush when I was running late, I'd get cross and shout at him and then I'd turn around and the brush would be right in the middle of my bed which used to make me laugh!

it's wierd isn't it? i mean, i would say i don't believe in ghosts... probably because i've never seen one. but when you hear personal accounts from ppl that u know, it makes you think.... my grandma, when she got her first house, there were no lights in the hallway. one day when she was walking through there stood this tall man just looking at her. she screamed and ran next door, and the neighbour was like 'oh that's just reg, he's been there a while, he won't harm you'. wierd eh? also my step dad was on a painting job in an old building, he went on a lunch break and when he came back the paint ran in a straight line all the way around the room... but no one else could have got in. he later got told there were ghosts there
Freds latest trick over the past 6 months or so is to switch the stereo downstairs on in the middle of the night (and not any other times) every now and again at random times throught the night and even change from cd to radio and it has not got a timer and for some reason we lost the remote some time ago.
My husband's brother died when he was about 13 and his brother was 21. A week after he died my husband came home from school and his brother jumped out on him from behind the door in the hall and wrestled with him. This was something he did regularly when he was alive. There was so much of a commotion that my future mother in law came out and asked what was going on. By this time my husband was standing there all by himself with his clothes and hair all messy. He always says it was his brother coming to say goodbye. He says that as far as he was concerned, it was his brother there, in absolutely solid form. He didn't just see him, he felt him as if he was alive.
xroads - Yes, sometimes the spirits can touch you or you just "feel" their presence. If you can learn to be unafraid when this phenomena happens, I'm sure that you can all learn to live together peacefully. Remember - it's the fear of the unknown that scares us. Accept your spirit presences & they'll not harm you. KP nonuts - Yes, I think many of us call our ghosts by ordinary, friendly names. Fred seems to be a common one, and ours is quite a mischievous chappie. He opens & closes doors on command now, & has even been known to flush the toilet! This was witnessed by 8 people. Good, isn't it?
My bathroom is a extention just after my kitchen and about 10 years ago i was plugging my eyebrows and i do not know why but something force me to look through the kitchen and by the door stood this little girl, about 7 years old. She had long blond curly hairs and had a below knee dress but very colourful.
She stood there and stared at me , i would have passed out with fright .
I had to retreat back into the bathroom but when i looked again she was gone and never saw her again.
