It is set to cause some debate but brand Dove is set to use women recovering from eating disorders in its latest advertising campaign. It is intended to reach the people on a deeper level and encourage buyers to form an emotional bond with the brand. What do you think?

Again please in plain English.

Dove soap ?????????????????
Uhh?
I think it doesn't really matter to me as I'll still be buying Lush and Soap & Glory products regardless of what they do.

But if you're asking if I think it's wrong for them to exploit people with previous eating disorders, I just don't care. Who's to say that the previous 'models' they've used haven't had something else quite complex in their past?

Dove is trying to keep it 'real' for the viewer and if it manages to educate wimin about the illness of eating disorders then that can only be a good thing.
The idea makes no sense to me
they're losing the plot
Seems like English to me, Spock.
I guess it's shock tactics? It won't be like any other advert....
It's just an extension of the real beauty thing - using the older lady with long grey hair, or the pale girl with all the freckles - I think they where beautiful (and I obviously remembered the adverts!) x
Can you develop an emotional bond with soap?
Dont care as I use fairy liquid and its done me no harm blubber blubber blubber.
why do i want to look at a twig who is holding a bar of dove thats wider than her
Marketing departments psyco babble rollocks ... If the women want to do it fairplay, and in priciple the real people real beauty ... erm OK ... am I bonding? Gerroff - it's a cold hard business selling soap to folk.
