Do you find that some clothes you wear make you feel completely different?

This morning I was getting changed for work and I couldn't find a top I wanted to wear.. I must have tried on about 7 different ones but just couldn't decide. They all made me feel different.. I put on a pink camisole top and felt too summery.. I put on a brown top and felt too casual... I decided to put on a white short sleeved shirt, a black tank top over the top which is actually joined to it.. My long black trousers that makes my legs look longer and my black high shoes which have a tiny silver buckle on them! I am wearing all black but feel very businessy.. I then have a white gold diamonte necklace on and a silver ring and silver bangle on my wrist. I have to go and view a venue today so I will feel nice and smart.

What are you wearing and how does it make you feel when you are in a professional enviroment?

I have to wear a suit on a daily basis.

I actually have hippy/bo-ho/indie/girlie type tendencies. I'm also not mad keen on brushing my hair.

I feel very out of place, unpowerful, and uncomfortable in a suit because I do not feel the same sense of ease as in my normal clothes when I am just me.

Although you would not know this if you were one of my work colleagues.
I'm meant to be in office attire but I usually turn up to work dressed as a tramp, although today I look vaguely okay, I don't have to liaise with clients though, if I did I would definitely dress smarter, it does make a difference to peoples judgements.

some clothes do make you feel completely different, though I find when I'm getting ready for a night out or something, when I look in the mirror and think, 'Yeah, I look great!' I inevitably will end up getting some kind of abuse for how awful I look and when I look in the mirror and think, 'OH God, Ilook awful, this is not how I wanted to look today,' I end up getting compliments and flattery! Strange!
I can pretty much wear whatever to school, but try to make an effort for more grown up than kid. I have a pair of red shoes (flats) that always make me feel cute. And a pair of high heeled boots that always make me feel like I could kick some a$$ when I wear them. (Except for the time I fell on my a$$ in the hall at school.)
i'm wearing black trousers and a white shirt, and i do feel smarter today, but i'm much more comfy in jeans and a vestie

See I feel less comfortable at work if I don't dress as smart and I always feel more productive and like I work more when I dress smart. We don't have casual Fridays here but on a Friday I do tend to dress less businessy because we go to the pub after work.. and also it's a much more chilled feeling on a Friday. I suppose thats the same as the reasons teachers didn't like Mufti Days at school because kids didn't concentrate as much!

I keep a pair of flat black pumps in my bag coz I hate walking from the car in heels.. and I go on lunch in my flats too.. I always feel smaller and cuter in them but also less assertive!

I am wearing high black stiletos today which make me feel sexy but when I wear my boots I feel like I could march round the office and kick butt!
I feel much more confident when wearing very casual clothes such as jeans, combats and a comfy top. I absolutely hate dressing up in suits, etc. I just don't feel like 'me' and feel totally unattractive, uncomfortable and tense. I perform much better as a person and employee when I feel comfortable.
i've now just dropped an olive on my nice white shirt and its left a lovely mark on my boob, there's a reason i don't wear white aghhhhhhhhhhhhh
Im heading off to Lynmouth so I am wearing a dress and flipflops, yay!
Oh and its a red maxi dress from Monsoon. Tis lush!
Another productive post from Rubyrose

I feel more comfy dressed in casual clothes when I am with mates but not at work... they all dress so smart here.. Although some days I give up bothering all together but you are right.. when you feel like you don't look great, you tend to get told you do!

Uh oh on the Olive! Put on a few more and make a pattern!

I am eating Lasagne, left overs from last night and I have white sleeves and a white collar... I hope I dont spill any!

Thanks Joshie... Ever the sweetie...
rubyrose, you actually bore me to tears with your posts about who you fancy and what clothes you are wearing. This is not a playground. You need to take a long hard look at yourself and grow up.

Corinne... I have never seen you before except for yesterday when you came in moaning at one of my threads....

Now listen closely my dear... and listen good..... If you don't like what I post... don't read it... Ignore it, skim past it, move on by. I find if you apply this rule to life in general it really does make things easier. ;o)

I hate Mcdonalds so I don't eat it. I'm not a fan of cats.. so I don't stroke them. I'm not big on perms... so I don't get one.. Can you see a pattern forming here?
Now I understand that you may be finding this hard to take on board but please pay attention... Let's give you a little scenario to make it easier... I go out for lunch and decide I can't stand the thought of eating a sandwich... so I go to the local sandwich shop and buy one.. when the woman hands it to me.. I go mad at her and tell her sandwiches bore me to tears and I hate them. She would look at me quite blankly I am guessing but then I reckon she'd ask why the hell I went in there in the first place!! Do you get what I am trying to say?
I doubt very much I give off some kind of magnetic vibe that draws you to my Q and for future reference.. the name of the poster is next to the question before you enter.

Will that be all?
Can you never give a short answer? You always have to write a bloody essay to answer a question or make a statement. Is that the attention seeker in you? BTW, how's the married man you are f*cking?
Question Author
He's very well thank you.. we are going for a little drive today to see a venue. Haven't f*cked him yet but I'll be sure to let you know the second I do.

Don't going to give you the fight you're gunning for Corinne. I wish you a pleasant day. :o)

Meant to say 'Not' not 'Don't'!
I don't want a fight Karen, I just want to let the rest of the Answerbank know exactly what a sl*t your really are. Although most probably know by the sounds of things. Like a bit of dirty internet chat don't you!
Question Author
Wow you even know my real name! Bless you.
Dirty internet chat? Haven't had any in about 2yrs so I wouldn't say I'm that bigger fan but hell yeah... who doesn't!

It's all taking shape now... I wondered why you kept harrassing me.. turns out your just bitter. Deep breaths.
Yes I'm bitter because you turned down my proposal of net sex and this is my form of revenge?!?
