And you call him a friend, I think he is a nasty wazzock
The tables could turn on him, say if the ex wife was like ''want to make a clean break, lets sell'' and he had to pay a get out clause or something?

he's sent the money abroad to invest, getting a rediculous amount of interest. he's also taken personal loans out so he wouldn'e get a mortgage now even if he wanted to, he recons he will be able to pay off the mortgage and be able to buy his own in 4 years.
The ex wife could still insist that she didn't want to live there any more. If it's a joint mortgage she could move out and say she want's half the cash!
Is this house jointly owned ? if it is and he has remortgaged without her consent, ie: forged her signature, he is going to end up inside, right where he belongs, nasty git.
raysparx1 the word git makes me laugh so much!! yes-doc - did he tell you about the control thing? Perhaps he just wanted to do right by the kids so they'd have a roof over their head too?

His wife comes from down south and he dithered for years because he thought she would go back home. he is using the excuse --- looking after the kids, but yeh right!
