can anyone please give me their advice on hair extensions. i had them put in today. they feel so bumpy, 3 rows going across the back of my head . apparently the lady plaited my hair first??? then she stitched on the extensions. i am bit concerned that as they fall out, it will leave massive gaps here and there. also, do i have to return to the hairdressers to have them removed or can i get someone to cut them out?

Hi Bubbles, I used to have hair extensions and whilst they do look lovely they are high maintenance. Its normal to feel bumpy - you just don't want your fella running his fingers through your hair! They feel very strange to sleep on t first too. I found them hard work and my hair never felt as clean as it might. Don't have them cut out as the knot is part way up your own hair and you will end up with a very short hair cut which i am guessing you wouldn't like - when they have been in a few weeks and loosened off they will slide down your hair with a little tugging and you can get them out that way if you really want to. I never noticed big gaps here and there in mine but used to have to go back for infills every few weeks. You've probably spent a lot of money on them so enjoy them whilst they are in and look after them because it is expensive to maintain them
my sister had exactly the same ones sewn in. she was in agony and couldnt sleep and was crying as they were so tight. her friend cut them out but then her friend is a hairdresser and so knew what she was doing.

if you cant get on with them go back to have them cut out to the hairdressers

thanks for your answers. unfortunately i didnt get chance to read them before going on holiday with my hair extensions. what a nightmare!!! i didnt sleep well at all the night before our holiday and i was so grumpy when we travelled. the first night of our holiday was just as bad so in the end i got my fella to buy some nail scissors and he cut out the sewing holding the extensions in. they were so bumpy and uncomfortable. i was turning into a miserable and mithered ogre. there is just no way i could suffer in order to get used to them. it cost me approx 120 including the hair. i will definitely put this one down to experience!!! i wish anyone with them the best of luck, what we do for vanity eh!!?
