It always seeems to be my luck to enter a WC immediately after ther previous occupant has been parking their breakfast, when this smell is so strong in the air, are we at risk of actually breathing in particles of someone elses waste. Sorry don't mean to be revolting but I have always wanted to know the answer to this

no. not unless they have had cholera and chronic wind.
its the flushing of the toilet you want to worry about, this splashs up particles of the toilet waste - this is why we should always put the toilet seat down and not keep your tooth brush on the sink right next to the toilet ... this is according to the tall one from How Clean is Your Home?
I have entered our local public toilets into 'The Worst Public Loo' nomination on the internet. It's tucked away in the Quadrant Shopping Centre, Dunstable, Bedfordshire. It's absolutely disgusting & you have to hold your breath whilst in there. The 'cleaning' attendant hides behind her two way glass door, only venturing out at closing time in case of being bombarded with compaints! People only use it in an emergency, but I have sent a copy of my nomination to South Beds District Council & they are apparently now going to modernise it - don't hold your breath though - he he!!!!
